MRV Serial Pinout

Serial port jacks:

The signal assignments of the MRV 8-pin (RJ-45) jacks are shown below:

The pinout for the Diagnostic Port connector is the same as the other serial connectors.

The MRV LX supplied RJ45 rollover cable plus DB9 adapter, connects an MRV serial port to a DCE device - eg: a PC with PuTTy for MRV configuration via the Diagnostic/Management port.

Note: the crossing of pins 3 and 6 (TXD/RXD) may introduce noise with CAT5 cable, therefore flat ribbon cable is recommended.
