SX-200 Daily Trunk Test

Mitel PBX systems do NOT have a Forced Disconnect Timer like Meridian PBX systems. In order to unlock and prevent permanent seizing of loop start trunks (due to cell/cell conferencing), switchboard operators can perform the following procedure each day.

DAILY TRUNK TEST

Test central office (CO) trunks daily using the following procedure. Suggest testing at 7am and 10pm

At the Switchboard Console, enter the following:

• Press FUNCTIONS
• Press <F2> ATTENDANT FUNCTIONS
• Press <F5> TRUNKS
• Enter trunk number: xx (have a list of trunk numbers to test to hand)
• Press <F3> ATTENDANT ACCESS
• Listen for dial tone and if heard press RELEASE
• If busy, press <F2> FORCED RELEASE followed by RELEASE
