SX-50 E+M Trunk Setup

The following notes apply to interfacing an SX-50 with a Motorola Vanguard 320 VoIP Gateway, but may be adapted for other E&M trunk applications.

Programing

This example assumes the Universal card is in slot 10,
trunks 73 & 75 will be used, with trunk group 3.

Testing:

Idle: E lead = -48v / M lead = 0v
Seized: E lead = 0v / M lead = -48v

Verify far-end circuits by activating near-end M lead and listening for far-end dial tone.
Verify near-end circuits by activating near-end E lead and listening for near-end dial tone.

 

Connecting to Vanguard:

Connect the two E&M trunks to the two RJ connectors (far left side of each daughter board)
