RJ11, RJ14, RJ25 and RJ12 all use the same physical 6 position connector.

Telephone Jack (RJ11)
The primary/main line is T1/R1. Lines T2/R2 and T3/R3 are usually not used.
Notes:
- Telecom equipment is Positive Ground: tip is 0 volt with respect to ground (earth), ring is negative: -50 volts.
- Nortel M2600 (Aries) series phones are polarity sensitive, the tip (green) is positive relative to ring (red).
- Nortel M3900 (Taurus) series phones are not polarity sensitive, so the wiring polarity does not matter.
