Phoneware Windows 7 to 10
How to migrate CallBill and PhoneMaster from a Windows 7 PC to a Windows 10 PC without data loss.
1. On the Windows 10 PC, install .NET 3.5 - you will probably need an internet connection for this.
2. Find the original CallBill installation media, and execute the following in order:
- \Logger\SETUP.EXE to install the logger/transfer modules
- \Dongle Installer\Install.exe to install the 'standalone' dongle driver - do not connect Dongle until instructed
- \Record Processor 3\setup.exe to install the record processor
- \Reports Module 3\setup.exe to install the Reports Module files
3. Move the green USB CallBill 'License Dongle' to new PC
4. Manually copy the following INI files from C:\Windows to the new PC:
- cbrp.ini
- cbrpt.ini
- logger.ini
- pm5.ini
5. Copy C:\Callbill3 and C:\PM5 directories to new PC, replacing the installed directories.
- At this point, PM5 should be working as it did.
- CallBill may need some tech support!
You should be able to see call records in the logger module, if not investigate why!
