Moving a Card

We can use LD 25 to move entire cards, shelves, or loops from one TN address to another. This is very useful if you need to move hardware around, perhaps to consolidate space as part of an upgrade.

Note: Use LD 25: MOV to move cards, shelves, or loops. Use LD 10/11/20: MOV to move individual sets.

Ground rules:

The following hardware may NOT be moved, and must be OUTed, and rebuilt:

In other words, use LD 25 to move analog/digital station cards, and analog trunk cards only.

Prompts and responses:

REQ MOV/SWP- Move or swap TN data blocks, unit, shelf, and superloop data
CUST <CR> *- Moving superloop data on a customer basis is not supported
  * Enter a <CR> when moving or swapping superloop data
SRC 1-50- Source Card for Small System
DEST 1-50- Destination Card for Small System
SRCL xxx- Source Loop number from which data is to be moved
DSTL xxx- Loop number Destination to which data is to be moved
SHCD ss TO ds- Source shelf TO destination shelf
SHCD ss c TO ds c- Source shelf card TO destination shelf card
SHSG ss sseg TO ds dseg - Source Shelf Segment to destination Shelf Segment
STSG 0-3- Starting destination Segment
STUN xx- Starting destination Unit Number

Small System card move:

In the following example we will move slot 11 to slot 4, using LD 25:

Large System (and CS1000) card move:

In the following example we move a COT card from 4 1 1 to 4 0 3:
