Line assignment

This setting allows you to assign physical trunks and target lines (not line pools) to each telephone, lines can then be directly accessed by pressing a button on the telephone. Target lines (incoming only) are assigned and removed in the same manner as other lines.

To modify a telephones line assignments, proceed as follows:

• Enter programming: Press Feature**CONFIG, password: CONFIG

Terminals & Sets allows you to assign settings to each telephone.

• Press SHOW and enter the extension number of the telephone you would like to program.

• Navigate to Line Access. Press SHOW

• Press NEXT to navigate to Line assignment. Press SHOW and enter a line number.

• Press CHANGE to change the setting for each line: Unassigned, Ring only, Appear&Ring, and Appear only.

Tips:

• press SCAN to view the lines assigned to this telephone.
• You cannot assign a line that is private to another telephone.
• If you set a line to Ring only, incoming calls appear on an intercom button.
• Each line assigned to appear at a telephone must appear at a button with an indicator on that telephone. The maximum number of line buttons are 8 for the M7208 telephone, 10 for the M7310 telephone, and 24 for the M7324 telephone.

When programming is complete, press the red Rls button to quit and apply the changes. Use extreme caution when programming with the CONFIG username/password combination - you can do a lot of damage! If you are unsure of your position within programming, press HEADING to back up the menu tree. Only press CHANGE when you know what you are changing!
