ICS Port Numbering
Default line, port, and DN numbers for Norstar ICS
systems. ICS #1 is the main unit internal station module, ICS #2 the two trunk expansion
slots. These are numbered right to left. Fibre ports are numbered from the bottom up,
starting at (Module) 3.
'Trunk expansion' modules should be added from the highest port
down, and 'Station expansion' modules from the lowest port up. This will minimise
programing. Modules will need to be disabled and re-enabled in order to be recognised by the
processor, this is done in Maintenance. It is not necessary to re-start the ICS in order
to add modules.
Series telephones use only the B1 DN. Other devices may need both B1 and B2 channels,
therefore requiring B1 and B2 DN's.
