UDT T1 DTI Example
For T1 circuits, move the dip switch the on card (default is E1). TTY into the card
and set it for DTI (default is PRI), ESF, B8ZS. T1 DTI circuits do not have a DCH.
1DTI Loop configuration: (if not already defined). Common Equipment, change in LD 17, print in LD 22.
REQ CHG Change existing data TYPE CEQU Common Equipment CEQU YES Changes to Common Equipment DLOP xx The DTI digital loop number MG_CARD l s c The physical card slot for the DTI loop in the media gateway (IPMG) MODE TRK Mode of operation TMDI NO Must be configured as NO
Print the CEQU in LD 22 to see which PRI loop is associated with which media gateway card.
Having defined the loop, continue with circuit programming...
2The Route: Route Data Block, build in LD 16, print in LD 21
Note on DSEL: VOD adds a 1 for voice calls and a 2 for data calls to the dialed string, so you may encounter a recording "your call cannot be completed as dialed" with this setting. VCE may prevent fax calls, so use 3VCE for voice and data/fax applications.

If the circuit establishes, but sounds terrible, try changing the Pulse Code Modulation Law: PCML = MU or A.
MU-law is used in North America and Japan, A-law is used in Europe and the rest of the world.
