Automatic Line Selection

Automatic Line Selection automatically selects a preferred line button based on the class of service and line priority.

The line preferences are as follows, in order of selection priority:

Line PreferenceCLSDescription
ManualA line is manually selected. If idle, dial tone is returned. If ringing, the call is answered
Incoming Ringing LineIRAOn going off-hook, the first ringing line is automatically selected and answered
Incoming Non-RingingNIAAs above (IRA), but for lines which appear but don't ring (eg, SCN xxxx)
Outgoing LineOLAOn going off-hook, the first idle line is automatically selected and dial tone returned
Prime Line SelectionOn going off-hook, if a line isn't manually selected, the Prime Line (KEY 0) is selected

(Deny) allow incoming ringing line preference
(Deny) allow incoming non-ringing line preference
(Deny) allow outgoing line preference
LPKxxThe last key to be scanned for line preference (eg: 0-7, 10-17, 20-27).
Prompted only if CLS = IRA, NIA, or OLA.
Note: A value of 0 (zero) for LPK disables this feature.
