IE Certificate Installation

How to install the UCM security certificate in Internet Explorer to stop the unsafe website warnings.

TL;DR: download the certificate, double click & add to the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store

First step is to download the certificate from UCM:

  1. Navigate to Security ➤ Certificates.
  2. Click on the Private Certificate Authority tab.
  3. Click Download, and save to the desktop.

Next step is to install it in Internet Explorer:

  1. Open Internet Options
  2. Click Certificates

  1. Click Trusted Root Certification Authorities tab
  2. Click Import

  1. The Certificate Import Wizard opens
  2. Press Next

  1. Browse and select the UCM certificate (on desktop)
  2. Click Next

  1. Click Place all certificates in the following store
  2. Confirm Trusted Root Certification Authorities store
  3. Click Next

  1. Click Finish, and OK to end
  2. Close and re-open Internet Explorer.
  3. Navigate to the UCM and check the import worked.
