CS1000 Circuit cards

When Meridian 1 systems are upgraded to run Avaya CS 1000 Release 7.0 software and configured to include a Signaling Server, they become Communication Server 1000 systems. The following Meridian 1 systems can be upgraded to a Communication Server 1000 system.

NT4N39AACP Pentium IV CardThe NT4N39AA Call Processor Pentium IV (CP PIV) System processor card was introduced in Avaya Communication Server 1000 (CS 1000) Release 4.5.
NT5D11, NT5D14Lineside T1 Interface cardsThe NT5D11/14 Lineside T1 Interface card is an intelligent 24-channel digital line card that is used to connect the switch to T1-compatible terminal equipment on the lineside. It emulates an analog line card to the system software. This card occupies two card slots in the main or expansion cabinets.
NT5D33, NT5D34Lineside E1 Interface cardsThe NT5D33/34 Lineside E1 Interface card is an intelligent 30-channel digital line card that is used to connect the switch to E1-compatible terminal equipment on the lineside. It emulates an analog line card to the system software. This card occupies two card slots in the main or expansion cabinets.
NT5D60/80/81CLASS Modem card (XCMC)Supports the Custom Local Area Signaling Services (CLASS) feature. It receives Calling Number and Calling Name Delivery (CND) data and time/date data from the Avaya CS 1000E, CS 1000M, and Meridian 1, and transmits it to an Analog line port. CLASS Modem cards are housed in NT8D37 IPE modules.
NT5D97Dual-port DTI2 PRI2 cardThe NT5D97 is a dual-port 2.0 Mb DTI2/PRI2 card which occupies a single slot in the Network shelf. It integrates the functionality of two NT8D72BA PRI2 cards, and one QPC414 ENET card. Interfaces with an external D-Channel Handler, eg: the NT6D80 Multi-purpose Serial Data Link card.
NT5K02Flexible Analog Line cardProvides an interface for up to 16 analog (500/2500 type) telephones equipped with either ground button recall switches, high-voltage or low-voltage Message Waiting LEDs. Up to four NT5K02 Flexible Analog Line cards are supported in each Media Gateway and Media Gateway Expansion.
NT5K21XMFC/MFE cardThe XMFC/MFE (Extended Multi-frequency Compelled/Multi-frequency sender-receiver) card is used to set up calls between two trunks. Install in any IPE slot.
NT6D70SILC Line cardThe S/T Interface Line card (SILC) (NT6D70AA -48V North America, NT6D70BA -40 V International) provides eight S/T four-wire full-duplex interfaces to connect ISDN BRI compatible terminals over Digital Subscriber Loops (DSLs) to the System. You can install in any IPE slot.
NT6D71UILC line cardThe UILC provides eight two-wire full-duplex (not polarity sensitive) U interfaces to connect ISDN BRI-compatible terminals over Digital Subscriber Loops (DSL). Install in any IPE slot.
NT6D80MSDL cardMulti-purpose Serial Data Link (MSDL) card, provides four full-duplex serial I/O ports that can be independently configured for various operations. An MSDL card occupies one network card slot (CS 1000M).
NT7K20Global Analog Line CardThe NT7K20 GALC provides talk battery and signaling for up to 16 regular 2-wire common battery analog (500/2500-type) telephones, with the Message Waiting lamp feature. NT7K20 is an analog line card for global market.
NT8D02Digital Line cardThe NTDK02 Digital Line card provides 16 voice and 16 data communication links. Install in any IPE slot.
NTDK16Digital Line cardThe NTDK16 is a 48 port card supported only in the Chassis system. It is functionally equivalent to three NT8D02s, and configured as cards 4, 5, and 6 in the main chassis. Can only be installed in slot 4 of the main.
NT8D09Analog Message Waiting Line cardThe NT8D09 provides talk battery and signaling for up to 16 regular 2-wire common battery analog (500/2500-type) telephones, with the Message Waiting lamp feature. Install in any IPE slot.
NT8D14Universal Trunk cardThe NT8D14CA Universal Trunk (XUT) card is a replacement for the NT8D14BB card, and interfaces eight analog trunk lines to the system. Install this card in any IPE slot.
NT8D15E and M Trunk cardThe NT8D15 E and M Trunk card interfaces four analog telephone trunks to the switch. Install in any IPE slot.
NTAG26XMFR cardThe XMFR (Extended Multi-frequency receiver) card is used to receive MF digit information. Connections are made between a PBX and a central office. The XMFR card can only operate in systems using μ-law companding. Install this card in any IPE slot.
NTAK02SDI/DCH cardThe optional SDI/DCH card provides up to four serial I/O ports. Ports 1 and 3 are configured as DCH. Ports 0 and 2 are configured as SDI (not supported). Supported in the Media Gateway (slots 1 to 4) only for the ISDN Signaling Link (ISL) D-channel.
NTAK091.5 Mb DTI/PRI cardThe NTAK09 provides 1.5Mb ISDN primary rate interface and digital trunk interface capability. The NTAK09 can be equipped with two daughterboards: the NTAK20 clock controller and the NTAK93/NTBK51 D-channel handler interface. You can install this card in slots 1 through 4 in the Media Gateway.
NTAK102.0 Mb DTI cardThe NTAK10 2.0 Mb DTI card is a digital trunk card that provides an IPE-compatible 2.0 Mb DTI interface. Includes an on-board clock controller. You can install this card in slots 1 through 4 in the Media Gateway.
NTAK20Clock Controller daughterboardThe NTAK20 clock controller daughterboard mounts directly on the following cards: NTAK09 1.5Mb DTI/PRI, NTBK50 2.0 Mb PRI, NTRB21 DTI/PRI/DCH TMDI, NTBK22 MISP, NT6D70 SILC, NT6D71 UILC
NTAK792.0 Mb PRI cardThe NTAK79 2.0 Mb Primary Rate Interface (PRI) card provides a 2.0 Mb interface and an onboard D-channel handler (DCH). The NTAK79 card also includes an onboard clock controller (equivalent to the NTAK20)
NTDW79AAE5Universal Digital Trunk cardThe UDT card (and NTDW12AAE5 CC daughterboard) replaces NTAK79, NTAK10, NTBK50, NTRB21, NTAK20, NTAK93, NTAK09 and includes onboard DDCH/DCHI functionality. One DIP switch for E1/T1 mode setting.
NTAK93D-channel Handler Interface daughterboardThe NTAK93 provides the D-channel handler interfaces required by the ISDN PRI trunk. It is mounted on the NTAK09 1.5 Mb DTI/ PRI card or the NTBK50 2.0 Mb PRI card (installed in the Media Gateway).
NTBK22MISP cardThe NTBK22 Multi-Purpose ISDN Signaling Processor (MISP) card is a microprocessor- controlled signaling processor that performs Data Link (Layer 2) and Network (Layer 3) processing associated with ISDN BRI and the OSI protocol. You can install this card in slots 1 through 4 in the Media Gateway.
NTBK502.0 Mb PRI cardProvides a 2.0 Mb PRI interface. It supports the NTAK20 clock controller daughterboard and either the NTAK93 D-channel interface or the NTBK51 Downloadable D-channel handler. Slots 1 - 4 in the MG.
NTBK51Downloadable D-channel Handler daughterboardThe NTBK51 daughterboard interfaces with the system CPU and is mounted on either the NTAK09 1.5 DTI/PRI card or the NTBK50 2 Mb PRI digital trunk card.
NTCK16Generic Central Office Trunk cardsThe NTCK16 generic Central Office trunk cards support up to eight analog Central Office trunks. This card can be installed in any IPE slot.
NTDW12AAE5Universal Clock Controller daughter boardNTDW12AAE5 Universal Clock Controller daughter board can be mounted only on the NTDW79AAE5 UDT E1/T1 card. It cannot be mounted on any other Avaya digital trunk card, e.g. NTBK50, NTAK09.
NTDW60Media Gateway Controller CardThe NTDW60 Media Gateway Controller (MGC) card provides a gateway controller for MG 1000E IP Media Gateways in an Avaya Communication Server 1000E (Avaya CS 1000E) system. Occupies slot 0 in MG.
NTDW20Media Gateway Extended Peripheral Equipment Controller cardThe NTDW20 Media Gateway Extended Peripheral Equipment Controller (MG XPEC) is a dual card assembly based on Media Gateway Controller (MGC) hardware, and includes 192 DSP channels (2x DB-96) on-board. This card replaces the Extended Peripheral Equipment Controller (XPEC) card in an IPE shelf.
NTDW56, NTDW59Common Processor Media Gateway cardThe CP MG card design is based on the CP PM card and MGC card with DSP daughterboards. NTDW56BAE6: with 32 DSP ports, NTDW59BAE6: with 128 DSP ports
NTDW53, NTDW54Common Processor Dual Core cardThe CP DC card requires the Linux Base Operating System, and supports Co-resident Call Server and Signaling Server, or stand-alone Signaling Server configurations. Occupies slot 0 in a Media Gateway.
NTDW61, NTDW66Common Processor Pentium Mobile CardThe CP PM cards provide a platform for applications including Call Server and Signaling Server, storage of system and customer data and they provide various Ethernet network interfaces.
NTDW62, NTDW64, NTDW78Media Gateway Controller DaughterboardsThe NTDW60 or NTDW98 Media Gateway Controller (MGC) card has two expansion sites for DSP daughter boards. These are available in three sizes: NTDW62 32-port (DB-32), NTDW64 96-port (DB-96), and NTDW78 128-port (DB-128).The DBs are slave devices controlled by the MGC processor.
NTDW65Voice Gateway Media CardThe NTDW65 MC32S Media Card provides 32 IP-TDM gateway ports between an IP device and a TDM device in an Avaya CS 1000 network. The MC32S replaces the previous media card or ITG card. IPE form factor.
NTDW98Media Gateway Controller CardThe NTDW98 MGC card is functionally identical to the NTDW60, but contains a metal faceplate for enhanced EMC containment. Avaya recommends you use a NTDW98 MGC card in the Media Gateway 1010 (MG 1010).
NTRB21DTI/PRI/DCH TMDI cardThe NTRB21 (DTI/PRI/DCH) TMDI digital trunk card is a 1.5 Mb DTI or PRI interface to the Avaya CS 1000, and Meridian 1 PBX 11C Cabinet (slots 1-4). The NTRB21 card has a built-in downloadable D-channel.
NTVQ01xxMedia CardThe Media Card replaces the ITG Pentium card, available in two versions: 8-port and 32-port. Slots 1-4.
NTC314AAE6Media Gateway utility cardThe MGU provides connectivity to the three serial ports of the MGC inserted in slot 0 and to the two serial ports of each call processor card inserted in slots 22 and 23, plus ring and message waiting voltages.
QPC841Quad Serial Data Interface cardThe QPC841 Quad Serial Data Interface (QSDI) card provides four RS-232-C serial ports between the system and external devices. It plugs into a slot in the common equipment area (Network module) of any system.
